The unassuming new location of this tapas spot is perfect for large groups who want to pass around plates, tasting a little bit of everything. The décor is understated, with red clay tile floors, brick archways, and simple booths, all the better to allow diners to focus on the authentic food. The restaurant‘s Chef/partner Virgilio Trujillo has cooked in some of the city‘s favorite Spanish-style kitchens, including La Paella and Arco de Cuchilleros, and it shows as the tapas are done quite well here. Look for classics like gazpachoAndaluz, gambas al ajillo, andpiquillos con atún. TortillaEspañolais cooked as if the kitchen were in Spain, not on the northwest side, while sautéed Rioja-style chorizo lounges among large, buttery, tender white beans.

On my initial visit to Marbella, my wife, my sister and my brother-in-law ganged up and dragged me there kicking and screaming. I said "I'm not going to like this stuff and I won't pay for it". Wow! It knocked my socks off. Even before we left, I was planning to come back within a week.
Since that day 3 years ago, my wife & I have eaten at Marbella numerous times. I admit that this place may not be for everybody. If you look for ambiance and expensive furniture and lighting, in your restaurants, stay near downtown or the Lincoln Park
area.
However, if you like great looking and great tasting food, this is the place for you. The bonus is the incredibly reasonable prices. We have never had a bad meal there. We are hard pressed to pick our favorite dishes because there just are too many.
If you like meat or pork, they have it. If you like seafood, they have some of the best. If you like vegetarian they have it too.
And, it is a byob. Now you can't beat that. Great food, no huge beverage tab to worry about and wine from your cellar.
